Question Low Volume on HTC Touch for Sprint

I have a friend that is using the HTC Touch on Sprint network. He has hearing problem and seem like the volume is too low for him. I checked the volume control on his phone and it is set to max. level. I was wondering if there was a way to tweak the volume higher on his phone.

I think I have seen people tweaking the volume control from the registry of the phone but I am not sure if it can be done on the HTC 6900.

Thanks for our help.

Re: Low Volume on HTC Touch for Sprint

i'm having this problem too. There is a registry key you can edit and I did but it only changed it when you preview it.

Windows mobile is awful.

If yout talking about incall volume, try replacing the audiopara.csv in the /windows dir with this one. You might need a program like total commander to override the existing file. Make sure you backup.

Re: Low Volume on HTC Touch for Sprint

I created a cab file to fix or replace the AudioPara file. This cab will replace the AudioPara with one that has been tweaked for a loud volume. There is not an uninstall of this cab. If you wand to go back to the old AudioPara file just delete AudioPara.csv in your phone window directory and soft reset.

Re: Low Volume on HTC Touch for Sprint

I am talking about when he is in a call on the 6900 and when he is listening to the other side and the volume seems to be too low for him. The volume maybe normal for most of us but I too think the volume is lower compare to most other phones out there.

Thanks for the two files above. I will try them on his phone and will report back.

Thanks again.

Yup that's what the AudioParaVolumeFixNewRom.zip fixes.
