Touch and Sero

I just got a Touch with the Sprint Sero $29.99 plan. It seems if you bg enough, they will give it to you. The $59 plan is also a bargain since as explained to me it includes Sprint Nav and Premier TV. I went with the Touch over the new 800W. Not sure if that was the correct decision but the fact that you can upgrade the Touch to M 6.1, GPS, etc. and the $99 price tag were the deciding factors. The early negatives that I see on the 800W seem to be the battery life and program compatibility.

Re: Touch and Sero

Having a real keyboard, on the other hand, is a plus for 800w.

Re: Touch and Sero

I actually tried an 800w at the local Sprint. Nice keyboard and overall it seemed very responsive. New IE comes with a Zoom function that is useful. I primarily see the comparison as the nicer keyboard and possibly more responsiveness of the 800w against the larger screen, better battery life (maybe) and greater program compatibility of the Touch. I think a user who doesn't tinked much with his pda will be happy with the 800w. The keyboard is much better than the Centro and (for my fingers) better than the 755p.

Well since GPS can be activated on the Vogue for free aren't you then paying $30 a month for just premier TV if you get the $59.99 plan? That doesn't seem like a bargain.

Re: Touch and Sero

LOL it's a 49.99 plan, not 60 bucks. I have no idea what this tread is about....SERO's dead and these plans are being pulled out of someone's ***. the $60 plan i believe is 400 minutes now.

Re: Touch and Sero

the $60 plan is still 500 minutes, the only change is the addition of Sprint Nav, and Premier TV. Now you can Activate your GPS for free, but you would still have to pay for navigation software, that is unless you are happy with Live search or Google Maps. Neither one of those work for me because they do not have the voice prompts so you're basically stuck looking at your phone for the directions anyways. I do think that the old SERO plans were better than what is being offered now.

Re: Touch and Sero

If you call in, you may have a shot at getting the $29 plan. That's what I did today. If you go through the Website, you are not even presented with the option.

Re: Touch and Sero

so glad I jumped on it last week when I did. My buddy was pushing and pushing me to do it saying it was gonna be ended soon. I thought he was full of BS for a while because Sprint has talked about ending SERO for so long. In the end, the draw of all that service for $30 pulled me in.

If there is any chance of any of you talking a sales rep into it now, I would take it. It's worht the try.
