Garmin XT GPS Question

I installed the program on my TOUCH, when I go to run it, my device says searching for BLUETOOTH. It never gets a signal or anything, anyone have any thoughts or ideas? Thanks!

Re: Garmin XT GPS Question

You need to set the gps to either COM4 or GPS Intermediate Driver. You can do this by tapping on the signal bars in the upper left of the main screen (with the Where to? and View map buttons). Then tap Disable in the lower right. It sounds like you have Use Bluetooth GPS selected. Choose either Use GPS Intermediate Driver, or Use Serial GPS (then select COM4).

Re: Garmin XT GPS Question

Ok, as soon as I load up the program it starts scanning for bluetooth. I don't see the option to change it. Help!

Re: Garmin XT GPS Question

Use the phone to go to Settings -> System -> External GPS and chose COM 4. Then when you load the Garmin tap on the top left signal bars and chose intermediate. That should do it.

Let us know what happens.

Re: Garmin XT GPS Question

Ok, on Com 4. Then loaded Garmin Mobile XT, accepted the disclaimer and it goes right to scanning for BLUETOOTH. There are no signal bars for me to click on. Thanks!
