Just need a quick answer...

Ok so i have my touch tethered to my macbook. i just noticed my touch's screen light up. and the lil "activity indicator thing in the middle" said 1x. so i turned my touch off and went back to what i was doing. a minute, maybe two later the screen lights up again. then i watch as the 1X switches back to the normal EV. does that mean that someone was calling me and my data connection prevented me from getting it? or is it more like i lost service for a moment? or if im just completely off thats fine too. im just concerned i am missing calls.

The data connection didn't prevent you from recieving a call, you probably could have hit Send to answer it, but that likely means that you're phone goes into silent mode when tethered. Mine goes down to 60% volume, but that's something I set up in SPB Phone Suite. Take a look through volume settings, and also get someone to try calling you while it's tethered to see what happens.
