"Override_VZW" in /Windows on Sprint ToucH?

I was browsing my /Windows folder I am running the original GpsTest rom and looking for the PPST.exe but while browsing for that I saw the VZW on Override_VZW and I thought Verizon and I was wondering if anyone knew what it was for.
