Can't dial phone numbers with extensions

I have a contact who's work number has an extension. In outlook its listed as (555) 555-5555 ext 3.

If I try to call that contact on my phone, I get a message saying I dialed an invalid number, hang up and try again...

If I try to dial the number...it sees the contact and throws the extension on the end anyways. So I can't dial that building at ALL.

So I guess I want to know 2 things:
- How can I dial a phone # with an extension?
- How can I delete the extension it puts at the end when I manually dial the number without an extension?

On the phone, replace "ext" with "p" this will insert a pause between the number and the extension.
