A little help with pocket EMU

Hello,
Sorry for being a noob at the ppc hacking I have been at the hofo site doing mods on reg cell phones for years and this is my first kick at the can with ppc phones.

I have a Telus Touch and just and just downloaded the latest version of the pocket emu from /www.pocketemu.com. The problem im having is that the changes I make are not being applied.

For example I am just testing to see if the program works so I start the program and then I choose one of the themes that are preloaded then click Re-apply appearances on exit, then I click the save and nothing. I have tried to do it a couple different ways and nothing changes.

The only thing I want to do is change the icons to something with color and add two rows of icons at the bottom of the page in the open area. Is this even the program to do that? I want to be able to go back to the original HTC home if I dont like the end results.

Any thoughts?

Thanks for any input

Thanks for the quick reply.

Did the soft reset and still didnt do any changes. I guess the next two things I will try are adding another theme and applying that theme and if that doesnt work I will try uninstalling and re installing the pocket emu program.

One thing I just thought of....Can I install the program on the memory card or does it have to be installed on the phone memory?

Is there a guide for pocket emu, yes I did a search

Wow this seemed to be easy for everyone else I hope I can get it working!

Re: A little help with pocket EMU

i wouldn't install it on the storage card, that might cause problems. try uninstalling and re-installing HHC. are you using the newest version?

I was having the same issues but then did a soft reset. I now have it installed on my storage card & its working great. Do a soft reset then go back in & re-apply your changes & it should work.

Re: A little help with pocket EMU

Its just a customizer,so you can even make your changes then uninstall HHC & the changes will stay. You can install to the device or storage card. If it was an app that stayed on the today screen, then I would definitely install to the device but since it doesn't, it works just as well installed on the storage card. Personal preference I guess.

Re: A little help with pocket EMU

Well I reloaded it to both the phone and the micro card and it will do nothing for me at all. I have done soft resets in between and after loads and unloads. I am trying this with the themes that come with the program, could that be a problem?

I am not sure of the steps to make this work since trial and error isnt working for me and I cant find a guide how to use it. Are these the proper steps in order to apply a theme, background, icons ect..

For this example for changing a background(tried soft resets before and after)

1) Start pocket EMU(on appearance tab)
2) Use backgooround pulldown and choose a background(pre loaded GuzuGuzu)
3) Click re-apply appearances on exit(click ok)
4) Click save at bottome left (click ok)
Doing it this way nothing

1) Start pocket EMU(on appearance tab)
2) Use backgooround pulldown and choose a background(pre loaded GuzuGuzu)
3) Click save at bottome left (click ok)
Doing it this way nothing

1) Start pocket EMU(on appearance tab)
2) Use backgooround pulldown and choose a background(pre loaded GuzuGuzu)
3) Name new theme "blah" (click save)
3) Click re-apply appearances on exit(click ok)
4) Click save at bottome left (click ok)
Doing it this way nothing

Clearly I am doing something wrong ( is there a guide for this program, probably not cause its supposed to be easy to use eh?)

Thanks for any input
