opera mini 4 cookie puzzle

Ok - I hard reset to have nice squeaky clean machine now that I knew what I wanted. Everything was running ok except opera mini would hang (usually after extensive use only while scrolling). I had hoped this problem might go away with hard reset.

So far it has not hung (2 days).

But now I have the infamous opera mini cookie problem back. When I first installed opera mini on the old image I went through several installs as I learned there was a later build than beta 2 and learned about using the alternate Java Midlet manager. It was not until the final install of opera mini with the new Java Midlet and latest build (9800) I managed to get cookies to work. I would lose cookies once in a while, but it was not so bad.

But I can't get cookies to work at all now (even in the same session). I login to pdaphonehome.com, goto bookmarks and choose pdaphonehome and I'm logged out again. I've seen reports of cookies still not working on the latest build on the final release but they were working for me before the hard reset most of the time.

Any idea where I need to kick this thing to get cookies to work again? Maybe once I fix the cookies I'll get the hanging issue back, ugh.

my cookies just stopped working as of 3 or 4 days ago too... anyone know?
