IMAP Gmail Problems

Upon setting up my IMAP Gmail on my touch I am having trouble with some of the messages that I receive. When I open up the email, I cant see anything anyone writes to me. This problem only seems to happen when I get typed messages from people. Any other email with pictures in them appears fine. Anybody else having this problem or know of a way to fix this?

not fix, everybody has this issue. It is on Gmail's side IMAP. For whatever reason they have not fixed it yet. There is nothing wrong with your Device.

Is there an alternative IMAP email client we can use? I've also tried Gmail's java app but cannot get it to run my Touch.

I think Flexmail works correctly but it's not free..

You can also enable the pop on gmail and use those settings...

You could just check it online through Opera Mini. I've been doing this for months now, and it's very quick if you have done all the customizations, such as eliminating the permission screens, and placing a short cut in your start menu. Just a thought . . .

I downloaded the trial version of Flexmail and it's not working. It somehow broke my Sync-ing with my Exchange server and it will not connect to gmail... I can connect and download with Outlook but not Flexmail? What's going on here? I've tried deleting the profile from FM and manually setting it up but no go.

I have a question:

I am using POP3 with Gmail..it will d/l the email (HTML). I read it.. go back later to check on new email..and the email that was downloaded is gone. Really weird..

Any thoughts??
