Re: vc 1.6 version issue

The TP already comes with MSVC preinstalled.

The new Sprint Rom, does take care of the issue from the first rom not announcing incoming callers which requires a reg hack to work.

If you have the old rom you need to do the reg hack.

Here is the Hack:
Edit this registry key:
HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\TTSAnnounce\Category
Change value from VoiceCommand1 to Ring

Make sure you have Start/Setting/VoiceCommand in the "phone" options the "Announce incoming calls" checked.

People will tell you Total Commander... but i say FDCSoft Taskmanager 3.1 is best.

glad it worked, for the sound/ vc talking to be louder I changed some values...yup another hack...lol

HKCU/ControlPanel/SoundCategories and under subcats of Ring, RingPreview and VoiceCommand1

change the Attenuation Category to 1
change the Initvol to 5

then do a softreset and it should be at a good vol. those are my settings and it is loud enough.

No problem, glad to help, now for your question...you might want to try "Audiopara" which does help in the areas you asking just follow the instruction on the first post.
