is it possible to turn down the slider sensitivity?

for some strange reason my phones slider just became wicked sensitive. when i say slider, i'm reffering to the keyboard portion. just picking the phone up causes it to switch from portrait to landscape and vice a versa. it really sucks because unless i'm really still while holding it, it starts to play this evil game of musical chairs with the display and basicall makes the phone unusable.

is there a regedit for maybe turning the sensitivity of the keyboard slider?

Huh? So, your phone changes orientation without you sliding the keyboard in or out? If that's the case, you must have some app like Gyrator installed, no? (Meaning, you G-Sensor is changing the orientation, not your keyboard.)

If I'm not mistaken, the same faulty cable issue that can cause the keyboard to flake out can also cause this issue. At least, I recall reading that in another thread.
