email my cars current location, is there a way?

Ok, need to share the car. Is there a way to use say Sprint Nav or Google maps to 'note' the location of where I parked the car and then email or text it to someone so they can find it later? I have not found a way, but, yall are so much smarter than me....

Login to Google Maps Layers on your phone and hold down the stylus on the location where the car is on the map which will allow you to "Save it as a Favorite", and then click “Tap for Options” and then select “Send as a text message”, and send it to whoever needs to know where the car is.

Just throwing it out there, another option is the app Glympse (I found it in Windows Marketplace). It lets you share your current location via email or text. But, the Google Maps way described by cmajewsk is probably the simplest....

I tried this, but the text the person recieves is just a link to google maps. Did I do something wrong?

No you didn't...Google Maps just sux. Not sure why it only sends out a link to Google maps. That is ridiculous...I thought Google was better than that. I'll keep looking.

Update: Yeah, it looks like sending someone a Favorite is simply a marketing ploy as it doesn't send them the URL to the favorite or even a map of if, but just tells them to Get Google Maps. How is that remotely helpful?

I have Glympse installed. Another one to look at it is GPS Location.

I sure appreciate the help. I looked at GPS Location. A number of folks posted it does not work on the touch pro.

I can not find where to download Glympse, how much it costs, nothing useful. Talks about Windows Marketplace, but, you can't see windows marketplace from your desktop.....what is with that.

You can get a cab to install Marketplace on your phone here. Glympse is one of the free apps available for download.
