Opera 9

What is the most stable version of Opera 9 that works with the touch pro and doesn't lock up and allows you to use the smart touch scroll? I am currently using Oper 9.5 build 15954 and it continually locks up the phone and I have to reset it.

have you tried 9.7? it's pretty reliable to me.

i use 9.7 and love it, its posted on the site, build 35461. also in the tp rom section, nsfsm 9.5 build he uses is best 9.5 build ive used, theres a cab posted so you dont need the rom.

Will that version zoom in and out by using the smart touch? I know previous versions of 9.7 would not. That is an important feature to me as I use the phone one handed and trying to zoom without it is very difficult.

the build i posted has the bottom zoom bar, so your good.

How do you upgrade Opera on a stock ROM? Just install the new version?

ive used 3 builds on tp2 and all installed over stock build, put new build on main mem, then softreset. sorry, same for my tp1 also.

Did the install, the old Opera is still the one that opens by default for everything. Any way to set the new Opera as the default browser?

build 35532 was just released as well... $hits pretty tight =) considering when 9.7 beta was first released I never had more problems with a single app than that one haha..
