Need a break from 6.5

My first flash from stock was to MightyROM 5, then MR6. I got a refurb TP and flashed to MR6. But I have reached a point where I need speed over the finger scrolling of 6.5 (it pains me to say that, believe me). So given my overall affinity to Mighty's roms, I was thinking of trying his final MR4, which is a 6.1 ROM. I had a friend try it who was also unsatisfied with the final MR6 and he's very happy so far, aside from missing the nice scrolling of 6.5.

But Sprint also released a new 6.1 ROM and aside from the expected OEM-ness, it seems pretty solid.

So thoughts on trying that new Sprint/HTC ROM (for those of you that have - no guesses, please) versus MR4?

Re: Need a break from 6.5

Probably should have asked this in the new Sprint rom thread. Otherwise this is the wrong forum to post this. It'll probably be moved soon enough.

I'm running the new Sprint rom after having run Mighty and Silence roms for quite some time and am liking it a lot. Seems they have sped it up quite a bit. Runs great for me.

Did you run MR4 or his 6.5 ROMs?

Re: Need a break from 6.5

Click on Calk's thread and either use his prebuilt 21055 6.1 Rom or build one yourself with his kitchen.

That way you get a fresh 6.1 rom.

Re: Need a break from 6.5

There are good 6.5 ROMS out there with minimal issues. I highly suggest deck's SsS ROMs (He has a new one coming out Friday) or Calkulins ROMs. Both are very fast and stable. I have had very few issues with them. You could also dl Calks VK and cook a ROM with what you like in it. It is pretty easy to get the hang of.

A lot of people swear by flashing to the stock ROM and then flashing to a custom ROM. Also, hard reset after your flash. This is supposed to take care of little problems here and there.

Whatever you do, dont give up on it quite yet....just flash til you find what you like!

Re: Need a break from 6.5

I started out with Mighty's roms but after I started using Pyski"s I have never turned back....
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=66993

If you wnat 6.1 its the vol3 6/29 rom and atleast for me it was the best 6.1 rom then....
I hated 6.5 but his last couple of releases have got me to love it...

Going back to stock would be downgrading IMO....
When my phone broke and had to flash it back to stock it sucked, I was so happy to get my refurb to reflash.....
