Help with adding panels to titanium

Hello all....i know i run the risk of getting flamed but i have done several searches and havent really found an easy or at least an easy to understand tutorial on how to add panels/plugins to titanium. Im currently using Tf3d but am trying to try out titanium but would like to add a couple things to it (mainly phone alarm and something like a quick program launch, etc) I have noticed that the latest roms i have downloaded have Chome editor in it. I have tried to use it and look for help to no avail.....if anyone can help its greatly apprecaited.

Re: Help with adding panels to titanium

Chome editor isn't pretty but it's easy enough. I'll try to walk you through creating a program shortcut panel. I suggest reading through this first before starting.
Lanch Chome editor

Tap Menu, choose Add New Panel

Enter the name you want to use. This will be the default PluginLabel (word that shows up on the titanium slider) use something a bit uncommon like your initials followed by the function, call this one ttPrograms. We'll change the PluginLabel later.

Tap Create New Panel. You'll be prompted if you want to enable your new panel, choose yes.

That should have kicked you back to Chome's front page. Tap menu and choose Add New Page.

Tap the name you just creatd in the Enabled Panel List and choose Create App Page.

Top box, ACTIONURL is the path to the program you want to launch. Tap the ... box beside it, choose Yes and the File-Chooser will open. Tap Windows, then choose OperaL.exe from the list of available programs. Tap OK.

Text1 will be the name that shows up on your page. Enter: Opera

Text2 will display below the name on your page. Enter: Internet Browser

We're at the 4th box down, Add Right Soft Key Link. We've been through the file chooser before, this time we'll just type in our path. Enter: \Windows\OperaL.exe;http://google.com/ (Coz Deleted Porn Link!) AND replaced a semicolon with a colon but I fixed it and changed the link to Google.

RSK Text: is the label for your right soft key. Enter: Google

Final text box is the icon you'll display. I usually create my own 90x90px images, tap the ... and browse your way to your image of choice and tap OK.

Your image of choice should bhe displayed. Tap Save Page, and Yes to enable the page.

We're back at the Chome page and almost done. Tap Menu and choose Manual Edit Item Values.

Choose ttPrograms inh the Select Key list on the left, then CondensedPage in that same box.

Tap PluginLabel in the box to the right and ttPrograms will appear in the box at top. Remove the tt from Programs and tap Save to Registry. Choose yes, then tap Back at the bottom.

Set the order you want your panels by tapping the title and using the up/down buttons. When finished tap Save Order.

Tap Exit, you're finished.
Of course if you follow these instructions exactly you'll end up with a google link in your panel, you might change that to something more appropriate

Note to Coz: With some of the today screen images posted on this site you remove a LINK? LOL

Thanks,
Here's the easiest way short of reflashing your ROM that I know of.

Use Chome Editor to create a new panel. Name it CEmail just like I've typed it here DO NOT MISSPELL IT and don't enable the panel. Download the attached file to your phone, rename it CEmail.reg (remove the .txt extension) and run the file. Once finished (you'll see a prompt) enable the panel via CHome, exit (don't just click the X) and when Titanium refreshes your Email panel should be there.
Attached Files
File Type: txt CEmail.reg.txt (655 Bytes, 3 views) Click for barcode!
