Increase ring time before voicemail

Is there a way to increase the time the phone rings before it goes to voicemail?

This tends to be carrier specific but with Bell in Canada I know you dial * 94 + number of rings (2-9) + SEND i.e. *949SEND will force 9 rings before calls go to voicemail.

EDIT: Just googled this and read that you may have to contact Sprint and ask them to extend this for you. They treat it is as number of seconds though and not number of rings before call goes to voicemail.

good luck trying to get sprint to do this. I've never seen anyone successful.
who knows, maybe you'll get lucky, but yea, it's on the carrier's end, nothing to tweak on the phone.
