disable headset button

I have the original headset that the touch pro came with.

Is there a registry edit or setting that disables the headset button from calling (double tap) or voice command (hold) ?

I don't want the button to do anything even if double tapped, pressed.. whatever.

Re: disable headset button

It's not the actual button itself thats being pushed but theres a signal error in the wire that makes the phone think the button's being pressed even though it's not. I think it's from all the crumbling and putting in my pocket that jacked up the headset. So even if i dont' physically press the button, the touch pro things the button is being pressed due to a wire/signal error...

i'll replace the headset but till then, looking for a reg edit solution without installing 3rd party pocketshield or something like that.
