We need a "Disconnect after ...." fix now
As many of you are aware, there is a setting which enables simply amazing battery life on our phones, but that also comes with major drawbacks that makes it almost not worth it. If you have Advanced Config or Diamond Tweak, the setting is "Disconnect after ..... minutes", and it basically disconnects your active data connection after a set number of minutes saving massive amounts of battery life.
There are some who claim it does not save battery life, but these people obviously have not tried it because the change is massive and instant. So this thread isn't about IF it works, it DOES. The problem is that when you enable this fix, it becomes almost impossible to answer the phone when someone calls you. IF it allows you to answer, it takes almost 30 seconds after mashing your finger on the screen. Most of the time it won't allow you to answer.
We need to figure out how to have our cake and eat it too. I want the battery life AND to be able to answer my phone. The registry setting in question is:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\ConnMgr\Planner\ Settings] SuspendResume
When it is set to #777, the data connection will suspend, but will remain suspended indefinitely. When the setting is GPRS, the active data connection will turn off after a set number of minutes saving massive battery life, but causes the phone to have massive problems receiving and answering calls.
