Power button stops working

Once in a while the power button will not bring my TP back up. I have to soft reset it. It's been doing this more and more lately. Any ideas?

hold down the power button to bring up the poer off warning. that will wake it up. also try calling yourself as that helps too. I have had this problem on several roms including my own, I fixed it by getting rid of psshutxp as the poweroffwarning.exe in \windows . then I got rid of psshutxp entirely

+1 on holding the power button. I've gotta do it once every couple of weeks.

You wouldn't happen to have the stock shut off warning would you? I am using a rom with shutxp cooked into it.

Re: Power button stops working

Sliding the keyboard open a little bit will cause it to wake up, too. It used to do this on older builds of Juicy's ROM when he first added the HTC shutdown notification.

Re: Power button stops working

the fun one is when th power button wont turn OFF the screen. I normally hit the powerbutton to kill the screen before I put my TP in my pocket. the other day it wouldnt turn off. I had to carry it in my hand untill the screen times out and died on its own. Only happened for a day. hope it dosent happen again.
