Question PointUI 2 PRO vs. Titanium

So, after dinking around with 6.5 and using Titanium, I found I really quite like it a lot more then TF3D(1 and 2)..

But reading the PointUI thread, it seems a lot of people really are digging that, so I forked out the $20 and bought a copy.

Just a side note, I'm not including TF3D in this, because the PointUI thread is full of people saying PointUI is better than TF3D in most cases.. so I want to compare to Titanium.

I don't really see what all the jive is about. It's nice, and customizable.. but it's a pain to really get anything "working" with it.. I mean, who wants to edit .xml file after .xml file to get their cities' weather working?? you should be able to click on a menu and pick your city, but no, you have to find the special code that accuweather calls your city, find the rss web url that accuweather would use for your city, pinpoint your location on an image file with x and y co-ordinates, and then put it all into 3 xml files to make it work.

and then besides all the complicated stuff, it still doesn't seem to "do" a lot.. there's not a whole lot of actually USEFUL applets, it all seems like just, clutter, it doesn't really seem streamlined.

well, it looks like I'm obviously liking Titanium better.. but I just dropped $20 on this(mostly because people said that the free version doesn't give you the full idea of what it can do)..

So my question to you PointUI users, is what do you like about PointUI OVER Titanium? perhaps I just haven't found the right applets to make it all work and look right?

Thanks - Hiquin

Re: PointUI 2 PRO vs. Titanium

Titanium all the way, pointUI is nice dont get me wrong but Titanium is so much more simple. Uses very little system resources, does everything a good ui should do. (wow for horribly constructed sentences)
