whats the magic setting ? to be able to send email from my PRO ? i use the same settings i use on my PC ( WONT USE OUTLOOK ) i can receive just fine send FAT freaking change

I have Time Warner also. these are my settings:

pop-server.ca.rr.com

smtp-server.ca.rr.com

I did call Time warner when I was initially setting up my phone and the tech people were very helpful. Hope this helps

im in Ohio and the above settings is what i use since i have had my account ) 12 years )

i hate calling TW talk to this person then this person on hold for 30 mins . etc etc

this is from the website

Ohio (Western)
incoming mail server: pop-server.woh.rr.com
outgoing mail server: smtp-server.woh.rr.com

Oh and if i try and let the phone set up the email it tries to connec tme to a Hawaii roadrunner email lol when im in ohio

that's what i use no sending of the email :/

There's been issues PPC's being able to send outboud mail via TW accounts for some time. It all comes down to TW not liking to send send outbound mail from portable devices (i.e. PPC's). Has something to do with spam mitigation. I use TW's server for my incoming mail and VZW's for outbound

incoming: pop-server.socal.rr.com
outbound: smtp.vzwmail.net

I wasn't implying that you use VZW, but use your carrier's outbound SMTP

You can actually SEND an email from your TP using the road runner account? Im in Kansas City and Time Warner here will not allow an outbound connection unless you are on a Road Runner assigned IP address.
