chronic 4gb memory card issue

I have real sandisk 4gb card that every so often, fails to get recognized by my phone. Odd thing about that is that my computer can read it through the phone via disk drive mode. The card works great on everyting but the phone.

The only remedy to this is to copy all data to my computer, format the card and copy the info back.

Is this what I hear some called getting the card corrupted? I had 5 ringtones on the card which I removed last night. Is that the cause of the issues that I am having?

Lightbulb Re: chronic 4gb memory card issue

if youve ever interrupted activesync while it was copying something, there may be a corrupted file that you keep copying over after each format.

look through those files and see if you find any with really weird looking symbols in place of the filename. if you do, delete them. you may have to move everything out of the folder that the corrupted files are in, and then delete that folder.

Well, it works for maybe a week or 2 before it disappears again. Thanks, I will try that.
