Bluetooth randomly shuts off?

Has anyone else had an issue where BT will randomly shut itself off. Every now and then, I attempt to use a headset or link it to my car automatically, and I find that the TP's BT has been shut off. I know I didn't shut it off, so whats going on here?

Re: Bluetooth randomly shuts off?

Have you tried Bluetooth Audio from Triangle Powers?
http://www.trianglepowers.com/PPC/Apps.aspx?app=PPC
Or BTToggle? You'll have to google this one.
I use Bluetooth Audio and it keeps BT locked in, allows calls through. The sound quality is a little crappy but what you are listening to stays in your earpiece.

Re: Bluetooth randomly shuts off?

Do you guys mena, when talking with your BT in your ear, it just stops but the call doesn't necessarily drop right? That happens to me if I talk for over an hour or so... Is that the same problem you are speaking of?

Re: Bluetooth randomly shuts off?

No. The turning off of BT seems to happen when the phone is idle, not being used. I'll wake it up from sleep, and BT is turned off.

Re: Bluetooth randomly shuts off?

Fellas, my BT stays on all day every day without a single drop . I sometimes walk far , it disconnects and reconnects as oon as I come back in range( jawbone 2 has long a s s range). it could be interference u getting from another device, just could be. You all using stock Rom? I would hard reset and see if that keeps happening in another settings besides car,

there is a bt driver for 6.5 that i dowloaded to improve bt stereo headset, am not sure if it may or may not do you any good, but you certainly can give it a shot...it wont hurt. It is from xda , if i find the link i wil post back...

Re: Bluetooth randomly shuts off?

BT has inexplicably turned itself off on every WM phone I've ever owned. Including the TP. But it hasn't happened to me in weeks, since I now have only one headset paired - a Jawbone. I used to switch between several headsets and it seemed to exacerbate the problem. I haven't a clue as to the cause, and of course drilling down to that BT mode page is a real pain in the neck.

Re: Bluetooth randomly shuts off?

I sit possible that it is your actual BT device? I don't know if that is a dumb question, but I have never had that happen to any of my WM devices...?
the only prob I get with the TP is that about an hour into a call, my BT headset will just cutoff, the call will stay, I just have to pick up the phone, but call never drops!

Re: Bluetooth randomly shuts off?

check battery is it low when this occurs..if so te phone turned it off , also many battery tweaks have setting that will turn it off to conserve power after a long period of inactivity
