Min would be located in ##778 NAM settings I believe. I never touched that. Activation took care of it for me.

On #000000 screen, MDN is your actual number with area code, MSID is the number fromalltel's wwbsite.

Yeah, I've brought a Verizon Moto Q and a Ntelos Moto Q to Alltel. They didn't even ask who the previous carrier was, just activated.

Re: Sprint TP on Alltel

Sprint Tp on alltel is confirmed. Thats what I am using right now. Just play dumb with the alltel tech support, and tell them that it says alltel when it boots.

Yes I did see that. But I don't see the SPD option on the phone to change to 000000, unless it is called something else.

MSL is what it's usually called. My main point for giving you that link is that a lot of solutions are given for people having the same problem as you. getting your phone connected to qpst

Re: Sprint TP on Alltel

OK, I just got a TP from Sprint and am in the process of switching it to Alltel. I've hit a wall it seems, and need some advice. Here's what I've done so far:

Unlock --> Flash Stock Alltel ROM --> get unlock code with BAFMSL --> Switch unlock code to 000000 with qpst --> get SID and MIN on Alltel account --> enter ##000000 settings, change the MDN setting to Alltel's MIN and the MSID setting to Alltel's SID numbers (where MDN now reads my current Alltel phone number with area code and MSID reads 0000000xxx) --> Dial #228 --> ???

When I dial #228, I get a "we're sorry, your phone is not yet activated..." that I get when trying any other number. Another concern is that "Sprint" still appears in the upper left corner of the dialer and to the right of the Alltel logo on the home screen. It seems to appear after the phone gets a connection, leading me to believe I'm still connecting to Sprint's network instead of Alltel's. I'm totally new at this and have exhausted all of my ideas for what to do next. What to do...?

EDIT: I was able to change the "Sprint" to "Alltel" by changing the name in qpst, so maybe that was irrelevant. Also, I tried to enter the ESN in my Alltel account to switch phones, but it was rejected ("Unfortunately, there's an error with your request. The ESN/MEID is associated with another wireless carrier, a wireless Internet card, an analog phone, or a non-e911 compliant phone. For assistance, please call Customer Service."). Obviously, I'll have to do this by phone. So, If I get my ESN added, will that allow the #228 to work? Is that all I need to do?
