txt message during voice call problem

Does anyone know how to keep the touch pro screen from turning on when you receive a txt message while you are on a call? I have this annoying problem where if i'm on a call and i receive a txt message the screen lights up and i end up pushing one of the buttons on the screen with my cheek. It's usually the talk button which then makes it click to the other line like if i was about to make a three way call. I use s2u2 and i use that to turn the screen off when i answer a call or make a call but i can't find a setting that will keep the screen off when i receive a txt message during a call. I posted this over at sprintusers and I got this suggestion but it didn't work:

Wake Up on New SMS –> HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL : DisableSMSWakeUpEvent <– set to “1″ by default. Change value to “0″ (I actually didn't have that dword but I added it and it still didn't work.)

It was also suggested that advanced config might have an option but I didn't see it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks!
