Re: Getting Texts In Europe
try this
Auto-forward SMS text messages to email with txtForward Get your SMS text messages sent to your email address... txtForward automatically forwards SMS text messages received on your smartphone to any email address you supply. Using txtForward to send your incoming text messages to email can be useful in a number of different ways... Some people want to backup all their text messages, so they have them safely stored away for future use. You can use txtForward to have emails sent to a gmail account, for example, where your messages will be archived forever. txtForward can also send SMS messages you send from your smartphone, so you can build a complete archive of your conversations. Other people are more focussed on email as they work through the day. Maybe they even leave their smartphone in their bag while they work at their desks. txtForward makes sure they don't miss an incoming SMS message, as they can have sent to their email inbox - so it shows up on their desktop PC, in Outlook for example. Some folks have to juggle a couple of phones, maybe a work phone and a personal phone, or maybe they're swapping from a Windows smartphone to an iPhone and have a new phone number. With txtForward running on the smartphone you won't miss any SMS text messages sent to one phone while you use the other, or if your friends don't have your new number yet. We're sure you'll find new uses for txtForward too, so please enjoy our free trial and see how it works for you... heres the .Cab for the free trial i hope this is what you need.

Re: Getting Texts In Europe
Not to poke a hole in that, but I think this is the guy who was going to Europe and was bringing his TP with him?
If you bring your TP with you to Europe, you're out of luck when it comes to pulling down texts. I -THINK- there is one euro CDMA carrier, if you're in the area, your texts may go through, but who knows what it's going to cost. What would work is leaving your phone at home, plugged in and running. Set up txtforward on it, like moon suggested, and let it forward all your texts to your e-mail address. That's just about the best solution though, and at that rate you're best off leaving the phone at home and using dashwire. |

Re: Getting Texts In Europe
The text fowarding app won't work unless your phone can receive texts. When your phone receives a text, it'll send an e-mail from from your phone that contains the contents. If your phone never receives the text in the first place (ie, you are in Europe), then you are out of luck.
