Tethering on Netbook

Hey all, Ive had a tp since the day it came out, and one of my favorite things is the free tethering (thanks to the cleanup) i use it frequently on my acer laptop which runs vista no problems, however ijust purchased an hp mini 1030nr netbook which runs xp, and when i try to connect it it says check usb cable and stays there, any reason why this wont work, is it xp vs vista or that the netbook cant handle it, any way to fix it to work since thats why i bought the netbook, more mobility...any help is greatly appreciated

Re: Tethering on Netbook

Hmm usually when I get that message, I just wiggle the connection on the phone and it'll go from there, or just unplug and replug...

Also, take note that it's technically not "free" it's just a crack/exploit to get it for "free" if you're caught doing it... well.. you gotta start paying.

Re: Tethering on Netbook

thanks, yeah i understand the "free" part, and i would be more than willing to pay for the connection part, but until sprint offers that without making me change my plan, im happy beating the system.....also i found out what was wrong, i just had to install activesync on this computer and problem solved
