streaming scanners....... may not be what you really want but its the closest your going to get for now. Unless you get one of them cool scanners with blue tooth and use your tp as an audio gateway

Are you sure that isn't something like the NASCAR Live app? When I first read the post, I thought he was talking about receiving communications between the driver and the pit crew. For that, you would need an additional radio (ie hardware) in the TP. NASCAR drivers typically use frequencies in the 400 MHz radio band. So a radio to receive FM signals in that band would need to be incorporated.
