When you activated this phone with the exchane server you should have seen a message stating that the exchange has to enforce a security policy on that device.. Now you can talk to your admin work if you have an in house exchange server and he might be able to remove the policy for you.. or you might find a reg edit on her..

As far as I know there is no regedit that is going to solve your problem. It is a rule instituted by the exchange server and its security policies, much like your computer at work requiring a password on return from screen saver. Its a major PITA, but your only relief would be talking to the IT guys and getting them to change the security policy for your device. (It is something that can be modified on a per account basis, so don't let them fool you into thinking otherwise)

Why donate to one person, when you can support the site that makes it all possible instead

Re: ??Microsoft Exchange Pin??

depending on the size of your company (in terms of how many seats your IT ppl have to deal with) and/or any business justification.... I honestly doubt that any IT would remove that policy just for you [hey... if you're high enough, they might compromise]....

Two workaround/solution I might suggest:

- Talk to IT into extending that time to say ..... 45 Min or moving your into a policy that would apply that;
- Search this site or xda for GPS applications... there's a registry that prevents your phone from "sleeping" or something along those lines...

HTH

Re: ??Microsoft Exchange Pin??

I doubt theres any way to bypass it as it would render the thousands companies pay to Microsoft for licensing of Exchange useless. Learn to live with it or get your IT guy to disable it.

Re: ??Microsoft Exchange Pin??

Us this tool it will allow to to change the time to 1.7 hours. But every 24 hours Exchange will reset the time back to the default and you will need to use this tool again. When you run it you can set the time to 100 minutes, than go into the Lock settings and change your time from 20 minutes to 1.7 hours.

Unzip the file and copy the EXE to your Phone than just run it on your phone.
