Angry VZW Touch Pro Battery...

Hi guys,

I just took the phone off charge at 100%, got on a call with my HTC earphones on for about 35 minutes. Now the battery is sitting at 30%.

I have S2U2 1.61 installed and running, along with:
Code:
iLock2.exe
pword.exe
remote.exe
Uploader.exe
AlbumSearcher.exe
AudioManager_eng.exe
QuickGPS.exe
Biotouch.exe
Opera9.exe
SIPGT_app.exe
manila.exe
VoiceCmd.exe
cprog.exe
connmgr.exe
services.exe
shell32.exe
gwes.exe
device.exe
filesys.exe
NK.exe
repllog.exe
I used the TaskMgr app to see these processes running. From the system Task Manager, I don't see Opera running, so I don't know how that process is there. Either way, I don't use VoiceCmd.exe.

Is there any way I can skimp put on things I don't need running? Or is there a battery issue altogether?

Help please!

Re: VZW Touch Pro Battery...

install the nue power cpl and check how much its charging at. charge the phone to 100%, then unhook from charger and =check the cpl. It will show its current discharge rate. Then place a call and load the cpl and see the discharge rate.

i dont know the default discharge rate while sitting there but i know its not much. If its at a high discharge rate while sitting there something is eating the power up. Is it the stock rom? You could try a hard reset.

Its all pritty much trial and error untill u lockdown when it spikes to discharge. But if it always is high then id use a different rom. Discharging i would say means something is using the power up. rather then if it was discharging low and the battery draining quick would be a bad battery.

but the nue power cpl should help u

Great, thanks man!
I'm using the MightyROM "One ROM for all" because I use it on my TELUS Diamond and I love it! I didn't find too many VZW TP ROMs.. :S

Red face Re: VZW Touch Pro Battery...

Ok, nevermind, found it.
Here are the results.

This is when it was simply sitting idle:

Docked & charging:

Docked & Charging & on call:

Undocked & on call:

Docked, even when it was at 100%:

Fully charged, undocked, and sitting idle:

Fully charged, and on call:

So what do the battery gurus think?
All your help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Re: VZW Touch Pro Battery...

I think it is consistent with what I am getting ... I would second the notion on doing a hard reset. I had similar issues with the stock VZW rom and the hard reset seemed to fix it.

But I'm not on stock, I'm on MightyROM.

Re: VZW Touch Pro Battery...

www.nuerom.com look under nuetools....

your results are much like mine and i really think its a combination of the battery being too small and one heck of alot of power hungry apps most of them in the rom to beautify that awesome screen.....I love it but the battery life sux!!!
