Any word on CDMA update for TP?

I previously owned a Sprint Mogul and although it's largest flaw was a lack of RAM it had several other issues out of the box. I was quite surprised at how many updates HTC and Sprint released to try and fix all of those niggles.

Now I've had the TP since it's release date on Sprint. It is a much better phone than the Mogul in many ways, but I am extremely disappointed that we haven't at least received an update to fix things like the GPS lag.

Has anyone heard any news on a update release for CDMA Touch Pros?

the new update is called a tp2. lol check the htc site for updates being released.

Have you thought about flashing it with one of the custom ROMs on this site? I just did and it made my TP 100% better. I used the MightyROM and it is so much better than the stock Sprint ROM.

for a software update i believe there would have to be some major fixes in it. Currently I don't believe there are any major issues that htc would consider a fix being needed for. Like you said the gps issue, to me that isn't an issue. I have no problem with my gps. of course it takes some time to connect because its not instant but no gps service is, not even the portable ones. But i am waiting for an upgrade to speed up the touch flo, and hopefully they will wait long enough to put tf3d2 on the touch pro, but i really doubt htc and sprint would want to do that.

wonder what new trials and tribulations HTC will put us through with the TP2...I know i cant wait! :lol

I think this is the biggest issue. Everyone has a different definition of "GPS lag"... by GPS lag, I think the OP was referring to how far behind the cursor on his screen is from his actual location. For example, I might pass Avenue A and B, yet while passing B, it shows me barely passing A. Very irritating when you aren't familiar with an area.

Thank you. That's exactly what I'm talking about with the GPS lag. I have no problem with aquiring a lock rather quickly.

I have tried most of the custom ROMs on this site, and am currently using MightyMike's 4.15. I tried 4.16 and rolled back to 4.15. They are all better than stock, but I haven't found one that fixes the GPS lag. I also don't use TF3D It might be a lot more useful if HTC made it more customizable out of the box. I've tried all of the tweaker programs and still don't care too much for it. I like mobile shell much better (might just be 'cause I had it on my mogul so long).
