Display Problems

Hello everyone,

This is my first post and I just wanted to start off by saying THANK YOU to everyone here at PPCGeeks because thanks to you guys my HTC Touch Pro went from being a lame, stock phone to a customized, efficient machine...

The problem with my Touch Pro is that the display goes crazy and gets scrambled. Some times are worse than others. The weird thing is that although you cannot see buttons on the screen because the display is scrambled, you can press where the button is and the function still works.

I HOPE this isn't a hardware issue, and another thing to note is that I had just installed the newest version of SKTools and ran the "Clean" function... I have since restored to a previous backup session and have upgraded to MightyROM.

Any help is appreciated and by the way, I consider myself a newbie and I was STILL able to properly install a new ROM on my phone... THIS SHOWS JUST HOW AWESOME YOU GUYS ARE AT PPCGEEKS! THANKS AGAIN!!!

Re: Display Problems

I am far from a hardware expert but a sure way to tell if it is a hardware or software issue is to perform a hard reset; assuming you still have the stock ROM installed.

Settings > clear storage.

Re: Display Problems

it has to be a hardware issue... you claimed you upgraded to mighty rom and still happens?

I'd flash the stock rom, go to sprint and get another. I hope you have TEP (total equipment protection)
