Re: internet sharing and windows 7

I've got it working via bluetooth and wifi (using WMWifiRouter)... I'll try out with the USB connection today and let you know how it works for me.

Re: internet sharing and windows 7

I'm using win 7 build 7000 on a lenovo x60... I couldn't get windows mobility center to ever connect to my TP much less do ICS. The driver installed OK, device manager is clean but it never connects for me.

Re: internet sharing and windows 7

I'm using Windows 7 build 7057. I got internet sharing working just fine. Here's what you have to do.

1st, you can install the Vista's version of windows mobile device center. That will install all the drivers and everything you need to flash/ tether/ connect to the phone.

Next open and start internet sharing and you'll see the phone say "Waiting for usb connection" or something like that. Plug the phone in and you'll see it install the drivers. At that point, for me at least, I had to go to network and sharing center (found in control panel) and click on "change adapter settings" and disable your other LAN/WAN devices like the on board LAN and wireless. After that, it should be working 100%.

It worked perfectly fine for me last night.

Re: internet sharing and windows 7

might not be helpful, but i have installed all the updates for window 7 and never had a problem. i just use internet sharing like i always did. it works perfect as always. i haven't installed anything special. maybe there is a program that you installed that is blocking it?

Re: internet sharing and windows 7

I also have all the updates loaded and have the Windows Firewall off.... Maybe that could be the cause of your issue? Also, just to verify you're using the internet sharing program on the phone correct? I have the MightyRom loaded so I set it to DATA and I'm set... I hope you find your resolution..
