Flash Player for HTC Touch Pro

Is there a Flash Player for the HTC Touch Pro? I tried going to Adobe's site and they said my device is not supported. Anyone?

Re: Flash Player for HTC Touch Pro

Well if you are just trying to play a flash video you will need a player such as Coreplayer 1.3(pay), or TCPMP(free). If you are trying to see a video on an internet page you need the right browser. Internet explorer has no embedded flash support, Opera has very little support with the right version of Opera and flashlite 3.1 installed. The only browser currently that supports flash currently is the Skyfire Browser. If you need any of these cabs let me know and I will post them for you.

Re: Flash Player for HTC Touch Pro

Well, I dont believe you will get flash to work with the stock Opera period. You will need to get a different Opera build along with Flashlite 3.1. But from my experience I wouldnt bother. It causes problems if not done correctly and it only supports up to flash 8, and most video online now uses flash 10. The only site that seemed to work haf *** was youtube, so really I wouldnt bother if I were you. but I know how it is to feed your curiosity so you can go here :

-Still would reccomend Skyfire browser for your embedded flash needs.
-Or try Web Video Downloader to watch and download web video.

Re: Flash Player for HTC Touch Pro

Thanks ^

I won't bother with flash them, and I will keep using skyfire in emergencies.

Re: Flash Player for HTC Touch Pro

Flash was running fine for me with the stock Opera after I installed flashlite 3.1.

Also, IE6 mobile supports flash, but it's kinda slow.

Skyfire works great with flash sites, but the only problem is the low resolution on that browser.

One browser that works very well is Iris (I believe you need to install flashlite too). It doesn't load the flash content until you click on it, so it doesn't slow everything down like Opera or IE6 mobile can when there's a lot of flash content.

I remember youtube was fine, flash videos from my personal site were fine. The other sites, I can't remember specifically, it's been a while since I was running stock. But I don't remember having a lot of problems.

You gotta admit its pretty useless overall though. I gotta admit Im feelin the new Iris Browser 1.1.5. It looks great as is pretty fast with nice options. If we could just get Adobe to release Flash 10 to support our browsers we would be golden. Heres the newest version if somebody needs it:

Re: Flash Player for HTC Touch Pro

I wouldn't say it's useless, but I guess I could live without it

Yes, Flash 10 support would be fantastic.
