Static IP for TP?

My wireless network does not have DHCP enabled so all my devices currently on the network have as static IP assigned to them. Is this possible with the TP? I have been poking around looking for a way to set it but have yet to come up with anything. Anyone have an idea? Thanks much!

Re: Static IP for TP?

i'm pretty sure that would be up to the network that is assigning the ip's, and not the device.

Re: Static IP for TP?

No promise that this will work (i can't test it from work) but give this a shot

Start > System > Connections > WiFi Settings

Then, select the Menu item in the lower right and then Wi-Fi.

on the Settings window that opens, select the Network Adapters tab.

Find the wireless adapter in the list (mine is IEEE 802.11b/g Compatible Wi-Fi Adapter) and click on it.

you should see the settings you want on the screen that opens up.

Let us know if it works.

Devices can still request IPs.

Go into Settings, Wifi, Network Adapters and click on IEEE 802.11b/g Compatible Wi-Fi Adapter, from there you can type in your own IP address.

//ahhh Quirk beat me too it, haha
