Car adaptors for 3.5 jack

Has anyone had any success in finding one that actually works? I have tried 2 different brands from radio shack. I am using the head phone adapter that came with the pro. Then I bought the adpater to make it into a 3.5 mm. Then I plug it in my cars 3.5 jack on the stereo and only the right side speakers sound. If I pull the plug a little outwards... both speakes sound. Like I said.. I tried 2 different company , 3.5 mm adapters and both do the same thing. I even tried 2 fm transmitters and both of them do the same thing. Has anyone figured this issue out?

Re: Car adaptors for 3.5 jack

ex, mine first did that when my radio was installed but it wasn't the cord or adapter; the radio just wouldn't sound with the drivers' side door open. but i went to wal-mart and got a 3.5mm cord with gold 3 stripped tips and it doesn't go out anymore. btw, i'm using the stock adapter.

Re: Car adaptors for 3.5 jack

I tried the other day on my Pioneer head-unit and it didn't work. I used a 3.5mm to 3.5mm and the stock adapter and it did NOT work. Bummer deal!

Re: Car adaptors for 3.5 jack

why did u need a seperate 3.5 adapter in addition to the stock adapter? the stock one had a 3.5mm jack on it
