Yes, you are correct. The method I described is called deep sycling. Yes.
Yes, if you start doing it now then you can fix it. It may take a couple weeks of full charge then full discharge.
I guess also, to clarify my point I shouldnt say let the battery die 100%, more like 95%
Although someone may say something to the contraty and have results to prove it this is guidance from HTC directly and is also stated in the manual and an insert. I dont have with me but will quote it when I get home.
BTW: I have 5 batteries and they all get superioer life with any ROM I run. I deep cycled each battery for the first week of usage. I really think there is a lot to be said about deep cycling when you first get them.
