Different Opera builds...why?

Ok, I've been looking at all the custom ROM's out there...from KK's (which I'm running) to Y4J superclean...I've noticed that there are MANY different builds of Opera.

why the different builds? Why one build is better for you and another is better for me?

Just for enrichment reasons...I want to know
