Newb help1

Hi guys, I'm about as new to a PPC as you can get....
I've installed Total commander, ad have issues installing registry editors for some reason

Anyway. I'm looking at theming this baby, and altering it to do ultimately what it does best! If there are any tweaks that are worth doing I'd love to know along with mods.
It's rather difficult to run through the stickies and make a decision based on whats written there and whether I actually need it.

I would love some step by step help on modding this little girl. I bought it in Nov 08 and have nothing but problems with it being slow. I have taken it to be serviced and all is working correctly. It's had a hard reset as far as I know and considering it's locked to a network, I can't work out how to unlock it, nor can I work out why it won't let me do my own hard reset using the volume down and centre button.

Help is definetly needed in this newbs direction!

Thanks in advance!

Re: Newb help1

Welcome to PPCGeeks

Hard reset (which will erase all data) is power+vol down+center+reset

-or-

Turn device OFF
press center+vol down+power

Note: You will want to hold these buttons AFTER boot starts until you get 'erase all data' prompt.

Re: Newb help1

CDMA is no longer in Australia (where i'm located) but we have the 3G network and HSDPA networks. CDMA was phased out a few years ago here as it's an old network that apparently was supposed to be replaced by these 2?
(yes i'm well aware that CDMA is by far more reliable than any other network in terms of signal)
