after installing the cab file on the sprint touch pro, no pictures will save to my storage card. If i switch to main memory, then it'll save. My storage card does not have a "my documents" folder and pocket explorer will not grant access to create a new my documents folder in the storage card. what's the registry change to allow the DCIM folder again?

connect your phone to your comp find the file you need to creat a new folder in and go that route.

correction to my previous post - the falsh being on the whole time before you take the picture is the most annoying. the lack of those other options that have been fixed came in a close second.

I know man, that really bugged me as well! When i was flashing alot in the beginning, every time i would i would start over writing my old photos... plus, just no good way to "at a glance" tell when i took it.

love the color commentary! and i totally know what you're saying... I very rarely use the flash at all simply for the "blinding" factor.

Nothing in the reg settings is jumping right out at me however on changing this... but i will dig a bit deeper, and get back to ya on it.

I don't think I'll add it to this cab as I'm not a super huge flash fan... but i can certainly make you patch if i find the setting for you.

Dont have the sprint diamond with built in storage, sorry. Did twilk's suggestion help you out? it seems reasonable.

All I want to change is the prefix for the image with the date and time... So if you could give a girl a hand with that one I would appreciate it.

OK... this assumes you are comfortable in the reg, if so, try this:

On your storage card if it doesn't already exist, create:
My Documents\My Pictures

In the reg change the value (DWORD Data) of:
HKLM\Software\HTC\Camera\General
"EnableDCMI" from "1" to "0"

Now when you start the camera:
tap the screen -> tap the cog wheel -> tap advanced
on page 2 make sure "Storage" is set to "Storage Card"
on page 4 make sure "Prefix" is set to "Date & Time"

You may need to soft reset after the reg change... and as always PLEASE be sure to BACKUP your reg BEFORE you mod it!
