How long should the battery last on my brand new Touch Pro???

How long should the battery last on my Touch Pro from Sprint? I just got the phone a week ago and hadn't really but the battery life to the test until yesterday. I disconnected the phone from the charger at around noon and by 8 at night it was completely dead! I did made some calls, lots of text messages and a little internet browsing. My bluetooth and wifi is off and I have the backlight at a pretty dim setting. Any suggestions? Should I start looking for an extended battery? Thanks for the help in advance

Check out the Touch Pro Essentials sticky top of the forum, for battery tweaks.

The TP has about 3 to 3.5 hours talk/surf time (pretty much the same battery draw give or take) and about 24-36 hours standby time. So if you "talked some" and "surfed some" for 2 hours, you have about 8-12 hours of standby left. You only got 8 hours total, so that could be ballpark correct. You'd probably do a little better with some battery tweaking.

how long should it last? shorter than ud like it to or expect it to. if it lasts as long as you want/need, then you have a defective one.
