Opening in a new Tab - how to?

Hey,

I want to open in a new tab in opera but I don't want to be in the new tab. I want to stay on the current page (i can read this page while the other one loads).

How do I stay on the current tab and have my new page open on the second tab?

Also is there a way to go between tabs without Xing it out?

click the icon in the middle (the tab button) and select the tab you want to view

any way to make it always stay on the current page and have the tab open in the background?

(i can do this in mozilla/firefox - tools -> options -> tabs )

Yeah I don't think that can be done... Have been trying to figure that one out myself.

I have not been able to figure out how to open the next tab in the background either.

You'll want to drop by the opera folks and make a feature request. Because it currently cannot do what you are asking, *and* it's not a bad idea.
