IMAP issues

So after reflashing my phone last night with MightyROM my phone would not let me set up IMAP with gmail. I figured something might have went wrong with the ROM update so today I installed WeaponROM hopeing this would fix the issue. The issue still is there so I do not believe it to be the problem of the modded ROM. Does anyone have any idea why my TP will not let me set up gmail's IMAP. I have also tried setting it up with the automatic settings(POP3) however they would also not work. They just keep telling me to enter my user name and password over and over again. Thanks in advance to any replies. This issue is driving me crazy

if it keeps asking you for your username/password its usually because the ones you provided were incorrect.

No it wasnt a user name and password issue. It just started working again one day. I to this day do not know why it stopped working :-\

Yup. Mine suddenly stopped working yesterday also. It has been fine until then.

try using different supported ports (like an SSL port)... youre kinda out of options since it randomly works. if it works randomly, id consider it to be an issue with the service provider (google).. especially since u flashed to another rom and had the same problem.
