Laggy keyboard?

So this has been annoying the crrrrr(roll the tongue)rrrrrrap out of me. But let's say I receive a text message, I click to reply, flip open and start typing. Welp It'll remain blank for a few seconds, and maybe a couple of characters will appear, then it'll revert to my dialer and use the remaining characters I used to type my message, to dial a phone number using those characters. OOR it will just take forever.

I've done soft resets, made sure that I don't have a bloat full of apps running...it's really annoying.

Anything similar?

Re: Laggy keyboard?

yeh i have severe lag in texting, theres no reason why the screen should not b able to keep up with text

but the problem is, is that the threaded messaging that comes in windows 6.1 just lags point blank
if you use cody's threaded messaging(for WM5) back when windows didnt include threaded messaging, it has 0 lag
and it even adds simple things like show you the total number of SMS's u have on ur phone instead of having to guess in WM6.1

So what would I have to do? Would i have to turn off threaded texting and install this one? It would be nice if it can be skinned too...but that's just wishful thinking lol

Where did you get this and what exactly does it alter?

are you using a touch pro?

because everybody has been posting this as a fix/tweak when you can simply go to settings/buttons/up/down control

this may work on some phones but on the touch pro it only changes typing in relation to repeating only(how long to hold a key before it repeats, and how fast to repeat it)

Re: Laggy keyboard?

Vistahide Battery Gauge was the culprit behind my lagging keyboard problem. I performed a hard reset and didn't install vistahide and it fixed the lagging keyboard problem
