Yup. The family locator on Sprint has nothing to do with a map program. The OP was discussing Google Maps, which is the only program I use. I know how it works. They say that it works on any phone without GPS but that's false. CDMA phones can't calculate location for Google Maps like GSM can.

Bumping old thread.. i'm trying to get AGPS on my WM 6.1

6.5 roms has it but I dont see any 6.1 roms with it...

There is an AGPS config app floating around...
Caulkin has it in his Kitchen but not sure he enables it in his rom due to the AGPS uncanny practice of lagging location updates.
