Wall charger amp output?

Can someone please check their TP wall charger and tell me what the output to the phone is? It should be in miliamps....

I'm away from home and left mine, so I was thinking of going out and buying a wall charger at the electronics store tomorrow.

Thanks!!

Re: Wall charger amp output?

if it's smaller amps ( 500mah ) it will still work, just won't charge as fast, and there is the potential your phone could be using more than that. I keep a extra usb cable in all my glove boxes, and suitcase/backpacks. these days even some tv's have usb ports that will work in a pinch for charging.. and if you set the phone to emulate a storage drive, you can show pics on it too.

*I should note that all newer directv boxes have usb ports, but at the moment they only provide power (446mah)

Re: Wall charger amp output?

The 500MAh chargers actually seem to allow your phone to hold it's charge longer.

An extra note here, I bought a cheap-o FM transmitter with a USB port... I was going to use it to play my TP's music and charge it at the same time. Works great! For about 30 seconds... The phone draws too much power from the transmitter and causes the transmitter to continually reset after about 30 seconds or so. Bummer. Brilliant plan foiled!

The TP only manages to get ~380mah from it.
