Earpiece have and LED?

I have had my TP for a week. Only notice the round button light on when I miss calls, SMS, etc. I just noticed tonight the slit for the earpiece looks to have an LED in it. I searched for "earpiece LED" and found nothing. Anyone know if that is an LED?

Re: Earpiece have and LED?

It's the light sensor for the automatic screen brightness.

Re: Earpiece have and LED?

Just want to confirm that this is the light sensor which controls your brightness and turning the screen off when you take a call.

If you want a better missed event reminder, checkout this program:
http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-...lreminder.html

I have not tried it, but it looks like it would do the trick! Let us know if it works out for you.

Interesting... I wonder if there is any way to exploit the light sensor for other duties...

It's been used for a few things already. For instance, G-Alarm can use it to automatically snooze or turn off the alarm when you turn the lights on.
