"Untrusted" IS FINALLY FIXED. WORKING!

Youtube clip
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FB1nQ3jJgwM

It's not has hard as it seems... just follow the steps

Here's the oem Jbed Java extracted from AT&T touch pro ( VGA version ). The Jbed VGA version floating around will NOT fully work. This version will allow touch scrolling and removing the "Untrusted" warning.

Download and install.

----------------------

Java Gmail 2.0.6 (switch between multiple accounts instantly, search all of your gmail, FAST) all in real-time

http://www.box.net/index.php?rm=box_...ame=evsk50hce9

Download and install

----------------------

Use this hexedit to EDIT selector.utf
http://www.physics.ohio-state.edu/~prewett/hexedit/

From the Device, copy the file \windows\appdb\selector.utf to your PC

Launch hexedit.exe and open selector.utf

Replace the text "untrusted" with the text "tckmax " (note the 3 spaces after tckmax)

See the attachment for before and after edits.

Save selector.utf and copy back to the device and overwrite the old file.

--------------------

Icon shortcut needs to be created for "untrusted" removal.

Created a icon shortcut to launch it directly. The properties should look like this.

If gmail is the first JAVA app installed the shortcut properties should be

\windows\jbed.exe" -run s0_

If gmail is the second JAVA app installed the shortcut properties should be

\windows\jbed.exe" -run s1_

UPDATED!!!!

Final Steps to finish.

Download
http://forum.xda-developers.com/atta...2&d=1206663733

Then extract the "policy.utf" and place it in
\windows\appdb\policy.utf

YOUR DONE!

Extras (Bigger Fonts)
-to make the fonts bigger use regedit HKLM>Software>Apps>Esmertec Java>Device Info>Java Font> (you will see Large/Medium/Small ) I changed the value to 32/26/22. RESTART.

Re: Here's how to install VGA java GMAIL and removing the UNTRUSTED warning

What is the benefit of running this Gmail Java application versus using IMAP or push services?

Are you doing it so you can search/etc? Seems that it would be annoying to leave this open in the background all day, perhaps even killing what little battery life we have.

Have you played with it long enough to tell--or do you even leave it open?

On your deskto computer... when you check your gmail do you goto www.gmail.com or use outlook?

I use gmail.com and this java app creates the same features as gmail.com (searching / threaded email / flagging ) all in real time.

I generally close the app after I'm done.

That's cool. I find that doing much of anything on the phone itself is a pain anyways, and if I wanted to view it in threaded mode, I'd probably hop on my PC. Otherwise a simple layout, (via IMAP,) works great.

I can see why people would want that feature though, especially for searching.

Although, you could tell your IMAP client on your phone to download all your messages ;) Your phone will not like you though

...have you figured out a way to let gmail (or any other app) automatically connect to the net without prompting?
