How do I prevent the menu to appear when I slideout my keyboard?

I have an annoying problem with my Touch Pro. I will sometimes be working on a program and then come to a point when I need to use the keyboard so I slide it out and then that useless menu appears which I can't figure out how to easily close it and go back to my previous program. It has really been frustrating. Ideally, I would just like it to rotate my screen and nothing else when I pull out my keyboard. Thanks.

The hard KB is the reason why most got the TP over the diamond isn't it?

I don't have a solution for you, but I definitely have the same problem. There was another thread similar to this. Of course I can't find it right now...
