Re: Setup ICS to work for VZW Touch Pro

I just did the following:
* installed the CAB
* rebooted the device
* started ics, and started a sharing connection for the BT
* started wmwifirouter.
* It has been handling traffic for my laptop and iPod Touch all night!

Re: Setup ICS to work for VZW Touch Pro

I didn't take the time to read through all the posts, but yes, WMWifiRouter works with this method of enabling ICS. Thanks!

Ok.
Install ICSInstall.cab to you phone.
The go to your dialpad.
Dial ##778 send.
Click on edit.
Enter 000000 for the Unlock code.
Select View info.
From the menu select M.IP Default Profile.
Click on DUN NAI, Menu, Edit.
Delete "dun." from 10digitmtn@dun.vzw3g.com, so it should be 10digitmtn@vzw3g.com.
Click OK.
Click Menu, OK.
Here a popup asks, "Press ok to reset the device." Click OK.
Device will reboot.
ICS should now work.
Select IntShrUI from your program list.
Select USB. (I have not tried BT Pan so IDK if it works)
Then click connect.
Connect your USB cable the your phone then to your PC.
Voila your ICS should work.

If you try this with BT, and or WMWifirouter post up if I haven't tested and edited my post.

Edit: Tested and working over BT. Tested with my Samsung Q1 Ultra UMPC with BT. (Posted this edit with the BT PAN). Now just to figure out WMWifirouter...
attempts to open the file once downloaded to the phone are unsuccessful. any suggestions?

Re: Setup ICS to work for VZW Touch Pro

I just downloaded the cab from the attachment in the first post from my computer. Then I put it in the root of my micro-SD card from Windows Explorer while my Touch Pro 2 was connected through ActiveSync. Then I opened the cab on my phone and installed.
